Importante notice NORME NIMP 15

Do you import on wooden pallets?
For autorisation in New Caldeonia, wooden pallets have to be issued of NIMP 15 norms.
In order to obtain this, pallets should be treated with Bromure ... or to be fumigated at 56 degrees during 30 minutes minimum.
Or
Starting 18th of March, Bromute treatment will be forbiden in Europe.
Therefore, all importers not having supplied normed pallets or not having required them from their suppliers, can't no longer proceed to fumigation, on the departure from Europe, in order to avoid further formalities.
In new Caledonia, for all cargo arriving from Europe, wooden pallets might not have NIMP 15 norme, and without stamping, the containet will be unloaded, and each pallet will require fumigation, and therefore an extracost.
This is why, starting now, for all new orders, the importance of NIMP 15 wooden pallets should be pointed out.
To lower your costs, some pallets can be chaper than others. You can also seek more informations about:
wooden chips
- board
- plastic
- used wooden pallets, or NIMP15 normed pallets
For those for whom is possible, please ask your supplier to deliver without pallet.
For delivery on pallet, please require to be normed NIMP15, so we can arrange fumigation within shortest delais and required costs.

New phytosanitary regulation - STANDARD NIPM15

Annex II attached, is now mandatory for all shipments (Breakbull, LCL and FCL container) , it can be completed by the supplier or
forwarder of origin and must be transmitted prior to the arrival of the vessel at phyto-sanitary service of Nouméa.
Moreover those who completed this document is responsible for this statement and the consequences if it is incomplete or false.
The Annex II is international and apparently already used between several countries !!!!!
We must complete this document for:
- The cleanliness of all shipments, even vehicles: no trace of earth, dirt, insects, grass etc etc.
- If there are woods (pallets or wood packaging or dunnage) they must be standard NIMP15

Due to the development of the jet fuel prices during the last two weeks, Air France Cargo-KLM Cargo has decided to increase the fuel surcharge from Euro 1.25* to Euro 1.30* per kilo.
* Euro/USD or its equivalent in local currency, depending on local circumstances.
This increase will become effective July 24, 2008 and is applicable worldwide.
Air France Cargo-KLM Cargo has stipulated procedures for implementing, increasing, reducing or withdrawing a fuel surcharge. This mechanism is based on a fuel price index (based on a four years average). This procedure and fuel price development is outlined on www.afklcargo.com - fuel surcharge info.
